This has been my favorite video app for quite some time! I use it to make videos for my family and friends, using old photos combined with sentimental music that often brings tears of joy! Great for Mothers Day gifts and birthdays. When I use the burst feature on my camera, I sometimes make a video out of those photos before discarding all but the best ones, like a time-lapse shot set to fun music (try it with a kid running from a distance towards the camera or sliding down a slide). I love that you can use up to 100 photos, have up to 4-minute videos, and everything is done in-app without any annoying online accounts or cloud processing required. Quick cropping & editing, great effects and options, its the absolute best. I only have TWO suggestions for improvement... 1) Please allow us to choose photos from the Favorites album, it would make things so much easier! 2) When I choose an effect then decide Id rather have no effect, I dont see an option for no effect — Im stuck with the last one I was on unless I go back into the Photos step then forward again into the music/effects step. That does seem to clear the effect choice. I have never had any crashes, so Im wondering if maybe the users who do might just need to use a memory-optimizing app before starting a slide show. There are several good free ones out there, it only takes a couple of seconds, and it would likely improve performance for other apps on their phone too. So its 2am and Im laying awake in bed. I have insomnia. I had previously downloaded this app and decided to try it for the first time. I launch it and it starts blasting pretty music while asking for my permission to send notifications. I immediately uninstalled the app and now my wife also has insomnia.
